An unidentified female was found deceased on 8/19/2001, along Interstate 85 near mile marker 134 in Jefferson. Her body was located over a guardrail and down an embankment in a wooded area. She had been deceased for an estimated 3–10 days. The female is believed to have been between 15 and 20 years old and stood approximately 5’1” to 5’6” tall. She had coarse, black, slightly wavy hair that was about 6 inches long. Evidence of prior dental care was present, including several fillings; her two upper front teeth protruded slightly and had a small gap between them. She was wearing black jeans and a multicolored striped halter top, both made by No Boundaries, and her toenails were painted blue.
