On May 29, 1977, the nearly skeletal remains of a 2- to 5-year-old female were discovered in a shallow creek located in a heavily wooded area, approximately 3 miles East of Corsicana, Texas. The area is known as Chambers Creek. The child was found with her red denim pants (with an elastic waist band) and a size 4, red and white print long-sleeved shirt. Officials estimate that the child died a few weeks to a few months prior to discovery. There were no indications of trauma. The associated images depict the grave markers for the child.
