On 1/14/2006, a male was found deceased in North Charleston, inside a minivan parked at a rest area along the eastbound lanes of Interstate 26. He had been deceased for only a few hours prior to discovery. The male is estimated to have been between 18 and 30 years old, with dark brown hair, brown eyes, a height of approximately 5’1”, and a weight of 117 pounds. An abdominal scar consistent with a prior appendectomy was present. He was clothed in black jeans, a short-sleeved multicolored striped polo shirt, and a long‑sleeved maroon plaid button‑up shirt. A Mexican voter registration card bearing the name “Gustavo Rosas Hernandez” was found with him, though it is unknown whether it belonged to the decedent. The image is a facial reconstruction created by a NCMEC forensic artist and shows what the male may have looked like in life.
