On September 23, 2011, a cranium was located on the Tohono O'Odham Reservation south of Ak Chin, Arizona, in an area known for migrant activity. It is suspected the individual died between 2001 and 2008. The decedent is believed to have been between 16 and 25 years of age and was possibly Native American or of admixed ancestry. Recent genetic work has determined the child to be male. The image was created by a NCMEC Forensic Artist and is intended to depict what the child may have looked like in life.
