An unidentified female was found deceased on 9/23/1980, in the Calumet-Sag Canal in the south Chicago suburbs. She was believed to have been deceased less than one week. The female was estimated to be 17–23 years old, approximately 5’6” tall, and weighed about 130 pounds. She had short, curly black hair with a reddish tint and brown eyes and wore a red or pink comb in her hair. Her clothing included a navy-blue zip-up sweater and a black sweatshirt. She wore a silver ring on the third finger of her left hand, a gold spade-shaped earring in her left ear, and a gold crescent-shaped earring in her right ear. Two sponge hair rollers were found nearby and believed to be hers. A facial reconstruction by an NCMEC Forensic Artist depicts what she may have looked like in life. Additional imagery depicts the jewelry she was wearing.
