A Gift for You: Parent CONNECT Child Safety Webinars

12-08-2021

The holidays are here, and this year NCMEC is gifting parents and caregivers everywhere with access to our Parent Connect child safety discussion series! These free webinars are packed with resources and advice from child safety experts. Each session is 40 minutes or less and designed to give busy parents practical takeaways on how to keep their children safe.

With the holiday season in full swing, online safety is more important than ever. The latest gaming systems and smartphones make great gifts, but they also come with many risks for children. NCMEC’s Parent Connect webinars give parents the tools they need to help kids of all ages use their new devices safely.

Simply register for a free NCMEC Connect account and gain access to 10 different discussion sessions about important topics such as gaming and online safety, responsible use of social media, cyberbullying, and more. Parent Connect webinars also offer advice for caregivers to survivors of child exploitation. Participants will hear first-hand accounts from those with experience navigating these difficult issues and learn about the resources available in their communities.

Whether you are planning to give your child their first smartphone this holiday season or they have been using social media for years, Parent Connect virtual discussions have something to offer everyone. “I loved the encouragement from the panelists,” said a Parent Connect participant. “They left me feeling great about how I can start building back trust slowly with my daughter after some online behaviors she exhibited due to negative peer pressure.”
