On December 12, 2006, the body of an unidentified male was discovered in the San Francisco Bay beneath the Golden Gate Bridge. It is believed the John Doe jumped from the bridge and had been deceased less than an hour upon recovery. The John Doe is believed to have been between 17 and 25 years of age. It is suspected he is of mixed race, possibly Asian and Hispanic. He had a short "buzz" style haircut, blue eyes and scant chin hair. He is described as having a large build. He was found wearing purple sweatpants with "Galileo Lions" written lengthwise down the leg of the pants (size Large). Investigation has revealed the sweatpants were associated with Galileo High School. The high school staff were unable to assist with the identification. He was also found wearing white cotton socks, and one white athletic style shoe ("NIKE" brand, size 10 1/2). It is noted the shoe was too big for the decedent.
