Texas Regional Offices
Texas

History

In 2007, Diane Allbaugh and Jan Bullock spearheaded efforts to raise funds to open the Texas Regional Office of NCMEC to address incidences of missing and exploited children in the state. In 2015, the North Texas office was opened with the support of the Dallas Steering Committee, a generous grant from the Rees-Jones Foundation, and with office space donated by the Meadows Foundation. The Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) office allows NCMEC to be more responsive to the child safety training and resource needs of North Texas communities. The Texas office provides child safety education, specialized law enforcement trainings, and child sex trafficking programs across the state.

Core Services

Professional Trainings:  Specialized law enforcement and child welfare trainings are offered, free of charge, to professionals seeking to expand their understanding of missing and exploited children’s issues. Learn more about the trainings offered at the NCMEC Texas Regional Office.

Community Outreach & Education: NCMEC Texas Regional Office staff have a presence in schools throughout Texas and endeavor to educate all children in age-appropriate ways about staying safer both on and offline. NCMEC staff also provide critical support and resources to the legislatures of Texas and neighboring states in their fight against child exploitation and abductions.

Case-management: Dedicated Case Managers add value to cases of missing children reported to both law enforcement and NCMEC, while serving as an information-hub for the law enforcement, families, and others who may become involved in a case of a missing or exploited child.
