On September 5, 1973, the skeletal remains of an unidentified white female were located in a rural area along a fire access road southeast of Skyline Drive in La Habra Heights, California. It is believed she had been deceased 1 to 3 months. The Jane Doe is believed to have been between 14 and 20 years of age. She was between 5'2" and 5'3" and between 100 and 110 lbs. She had shoulder-length light brown hair. She was found wearing a green turtleneck long-sleeved sweater (size large), a blue, pink and yellow halter top, and blue tennis shoes with white soles (size 6M). She was also wearing light blue corduroy pants with "S-J" on the right rear pocket (size medium). Investigation has revealed that the pants were sold in Sears and Roebuck Company stores throughout the United States. The Jane Doe had pierced ears and was found wearing gold metal earrings with peace symbols and blue stone insets. Her fingernails were painted orange. Dental records indicate she may have had two teeth (lower molars) extracted within 4-6 months of her death.
