On April 11, 1976, the remains of an unidentified female were found in a dry creek bed in a rural area approximately 90 feet west of Lopez Canyon Road in San Fernando, California. Based on the condition of the remains, it is believed the Jane Doe was likely deceased one week prior to discovery. She was approximately 20 years of age with a small build and was estimated to have weighed between 100-120 lbs. The decedent was found wearing purple bell-bottom pants ("MALE" brand), a tan long sleeve multicolored print blouse worn midriff-style with rust-colored tree figures and elastic cuffs ("STYLED IN CALIFORNIA" brand). She was also found with black 4" heel clog shoes with a heavy leather strap and a brown suede jacket with a white wool collar and white cuffs ("LONDONTOWN BY CHECKPOINT" brand). She had dirty blonde roots to light brown hair approximately 18 inches in length that reached her middle back and plucked eyebrows. The decedent had a full silver cap on left upper first molar. She also had a vertical scare below her right knee cap approximately 1" in length. The reconstruction featured above is an artist’s rendering of what the Jane Doe may have looked like.
